RICHARD EVANS (KUBLANSKI)
February 22, 1944 - October 22, 2012
Born February 22, 1944, died suddenly at
his home October 22, 2012. Left to mourn
his passing are his son Kurt (Karen and
daughter Christina), daughter Kandis
(James and daughters Mikaila and Kiara),
his sister Elsie White and extended
family. Predeceased by his mother Sophie
(Lapchuck), father Peter Kublanski and
brothers Ernie and Harry.
Richard was a man of many talents. A
builder of many family homes including the
perpetual expansion of a family cottage in
Petersfield. Richard was happiest with a
blueprint in his mind, a cigarette in his
hand and a rum and coke in his glass.
He was also a musician who played and sang
with many bands in the 1960s including
Purple Haze and Del Rios later touring
smaller venues in the 1980s as a solo
performer.
Richard might be best known around the
city and surrounding area as an
accomplished real estate agent since 1989
working with first Main Event Realty,
RE-Max and most recently, Century 21.
There will be a gathering at a family
residence on Sunday between 2:00 p.m. and
6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to the Winnipeg Food Bank.
