ROBERT WILLIAM HOSKIN
July 4, 1954 - February 28, 2009
After a courageous battle with cancer, Rob
passed peacefully, with his family by his
side, February 28, 2009 at Riverview, in
Winnipeg, MB.
Rob is predeceased by his father and
mother Cliff and Joan Hoskin of Port
Alberni, BC. He is survived by loving wife
Sherry Kulbaba-Hoskin; sister Anita (Ray)
Romaniuk of Vancouver, BC; special
mother-in-law Adele Kulbaba; sister-in-law
Nicky (Scott) Chabluk, and their girls,
Randene, Janna, and Alexandra of Oakbank,
MB, as well as several cousins, including
special cousins Norma (Bud) Ward and Tracy
(Lorraine) West of Port Alberni, BC, and
his very special buddy Belkar. Rob was
dearly loved by many, many friends, and
colleagues, including best friend Shelley
Dufualt along with special friends Terry
and Glennis Morris, all of Winnipeg, MB.
Born July 4, 1954, in Port Alberni, BC,
Rob graduated from Alberni District
Secondary High school in 1972 and started
his booking agent career in 1978 with
Bruce Allan Talent then moved over to
Feldman Associates of Vancouver in 1979.
Rob left Port Alberni in 1984 to join the
Hungry I Agency in Winnipeg. In 1998 he
became an instrumental part of Morris
Entertainment.
Rob was an avid sports fan and fisherman,
and he excelled as a softball pitcher and
coached and managed youth soccer while
still in his teens. His generosity and
sense of humour will be missed by all who
knew him.
Special thanks to Dr. Ted St. Godard, and
his wonderful staff - Marlene, Helen,
Sabrina, Crystal, Arlene, Meagan, and many
more at the Riverview Health Centre in
Winnipeg, who provided excellent care for
Rob in his final days.
Celebration of Rob's life will be on
Saturday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo
Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street,
Winnipeg, MB. An online book of
