LAURENCE JOSEPH MAHLER

May 11, 1947 - December 24, 2012

Sadly we announce the sudden passing of Larry Joseph Mahler, on the morning of December 24, 2012 at the age of 65.

Larry Joseph Mahler of Winnipeg, born May 11, 1947 in Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Bernice and Eugene Mahler of Winnipeg, half sister Yvonne Hardy, half brothers Buddy, Donald and Jerry Sanderson. Survived by his best friend and wife Debra, stepson Isaac Patzil and sister Gail, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins throughout BC, Alberta and Ontario. Larry will also be missed dearly by Emma and Windsor.

Larry was a man of many talents. Musician, photographer (LJ Mahler Photography Studio 30 years) entrepreneur, anything mechanical that gave him a challenge, and of course his cooking and baking skills picked up over the years was a definite asset. Larry had many lifelong friends during his musical career with the Sugar Spice and the Griffins. His love for playing and restoring guitars was very much a part of his life.

Lastly his joint venture with his wife Debra Pop N Eye Collectables and charity work with Pop N Eye Cause Play Costume Club especially the 2012 Children's Wish Costume Calendar. You have him in Your Keeping We have him our our hearts Larry you will be forever missed.

Graveside service and interment will be at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. Date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Larry's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9 or to a charity of one's choice.
