LARRY WILLIAM RASMUSSEN

1946 - June 09, 2008

On Monday, June 9, 2008 Larry passed away at the age of 61. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Terry, mother Jean, brother Dale (Patti), niece Tammy (Keith) Jewell, aunts and uncles, many cousins and their families. As well as Terry's family, Kevin (Karla) Moore, Brenda and Brian McKenzie, Karyn Moore and their families. He was predeceased by his father William in 2006.

Larry was born in Brandon and spent his whole life in Winnipeg. He received his Upholstering Certificate from Red River College, retiring from Hampton Interiors in 2007. His home, family and music were very important to him. He and Terry spent many hours planning and planting trees and shrubs in their beautiful backyard.

Larry performed with the Mongrels during the 1960s. He was considered to be one of the premier drummers of the Winnipeg music scene. Larry recorded several singles and an album with the Mongrels produced by Randy Bachman for RCA/Capital Records USA.

The family would like to give special thanks to Jim and Carol Robinson, the Headingley RCMP and First Response Team. A funeral will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Chapel Lawn
