The Cheer, originally comprised of Lloyd Peterson, Chris Maxfield, Randy Hadubiak and Stan Lee Sandblaste, formed in the fall of 1982, playing their first show at Wellington's.  One of Winnipeg's most successful bands throughout the 80s, they recorded one album, titled "Swimming To Work" in 1985 and in 1986, a single, "Shot With Our Own Guns".  They played their last show at the West End Cultural Centre in 1989.
