Happy Medium 1967

1967
L-R:  Matt Moche, Michael Costello, Doug Stout, Andy Stout, Ken Vickets
Missing: Peter Munsters

The Happy Medium was a local rock band that played in Winnipeg in 1967 and 1968.  Members were Andy Stout, Doug Stout, Michael Costello, Matt Moche, Ken Vickets, and Peter Munsters.

The highlight for the band was playing on the steps of the Legislative building in front of 25,000 young people on the day of the "Miles for Millions March" in 1968.

The band played at community centres, CYOs, high schools, the Guilded Cage, and the Hungry I.  After high school, they disbanded in 1968.

Their predecessor band was The Never BeFour, composed of Doug, Matt, Michael and Ken.  They played local dances in 1965 and 1966.  Andy and Peter had previously played with the band Cloud 9.

The band had a reunion in 1999, before the passing of Doug and Peter.  The remaining members live across Western Canada and are still in touch.
