Bill & Sue-On Hillman

Recipients of the Manitoba Entertainer of the Year Award 1980

Bill and Sue-On Hillman are western Manitoba music royalty.  Either under their own names or as THE WESTERN UNION, the Brandon-based duo, who taught high school by day (both went on to lecture at Brandon University) and rocked on weekends and summers, have released more than a dozen albums and toured the world in a career spanning some 50 years, beginning with Strathclair-born Bill Hillman’s mid-’60s band THE DOVERMEN. -- John Einarson, Winnipeg Free Press May 8, 2016

Bill and Sue-On Hillman have an extraordinary website chronicling their lives over 6 decades.  One of the very first music sites on the internet under the Angelfire banner in 1996, it has since moved to its own domain.  Created and continuously maintained by Bill Hillman personally, the site now has quite literally thousands of pages and photos.  The couple has recorded hundreds of songs - in both England and on their own Maple Grove label - and most are available for listening online.

In addition to covering the musical careers of Bill and Sue-On Hillman, there are separate sections on family, travel, heritage, military, interviews, documentaries, political matters, other artists, both local and international, plus more.  Near the bottom of the main page on the site is the Google search feature specific to this website to assist with locating anything on their pages.
